Pasta with Tomatoes & Burrata 🍝
This recipe only takes 20 minutes from the start to the end and it is serving all the great flavors of the Italian cuisine 🇮🇹 Simple basil, tomato and garlic meets the creamy burrata and crunchy pine nuts. If you are looking for a fancy but easy dinner, we have it here!
Side note: This dish is a great way to impress your date even if you have zero experience with cooking, I was on the impressed side of the story once, believe me it works!
Ingredients serve for 2 people:
250g spaghetti 250g cherry tomatoes 3 cloves of garlic Handful of fresh basil (save half for the end) 4 tbsp of olive oil 50ml pasta water Some pine nuts to garnish Burrata cheese
Steps:
• Heat the olive oil in a big pan and add your aromatics (thinly sliced garlic and basil). After garlic and basil is cooked, add the cherry tomatoes that are sliced in two pieces. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and smash them with the back of the wooden spoon so they can let their juices out.
• Cook the spaghetti “al dente” in a well salted water and save 50 ml of pasta water for the pasta sauce.
When the pasta sauce is cooked add the pasta with 50ml pasta water that you saved.
• Mix well the sauce with pasta and add some more fresh basil, season it with salt and black pepper for your taste.
• Place the pasta in a bowl and place the burrata making sure that it doesn’t burst
Enjoy! 🍅
